Stratum was founded in 2009 by two architects who met on a conservation project and never stopped arguing productively about detail.

We are a registered practice. Every project carries a director from first sketch to handover — the person you meet is the person who draws it.

We work slowly on purpose. The studio caps its book so no project becomes a number on a programme.
