Joining the kuan.

Who can join

Membership is open to anyone of Hokkien descent (paternal or maternal line). Spouses and partners of members are automatically eligible. Non-Hokkien neighbours and friends who want to participate in language classes or events can attend as guests; some events are members-only.

How to apply

1.
Fill out the membership form (available at the office or by email).
2.
Provide a brief written summary of family origin in Fujian (we're asking about clan/village, not income).
3.
One existing member as a referee.
4.
First-year membership fee SGD 80. Renewal SGD 50/year thereafter.
5.
Council reviews monthly. You will hear back within four weeks.
